How do I arrange a visit to Hunny Pot Nursery?
The best way to get a feel for Hunny Pot is to come and see us. You’ll be able to look around the nursery, meet the team, see our indoor and outdoor spaces and ask any questions you may have. You can book a tour through our website or contact us directly.
What age can my child start at Hunny Pot?
We care for children from 12 weeks old through to five years of age. We also offer wraparound and holiday care for school-age children up to 12 years old.
What are your opening hours?
We’re open Monday to Friday from 7:30am until 6:00pm.
Can my child attend part-time?
Yes. We offer a range of attendance patterns depending on availability. Speak to us about the days and sessions you need and we’ll let you know what’s available.
Do you have a waiting list?
Some rooms and sessions can become full, particularly at popular times of the year. If your preferred days aren’t available straight away, we’ll talk you through the options and let you know about our waiting list.
Can I increase my child’s sessions later?
Where we have availability, we’ll always do our best to accommodate additional sessions. It’s worth speaking to us as early as possible if you know your childcare needs may change.
What rooms do you have?
Our nursery is divided into age-appropriate rooms so children can learn and play in an environment suited to their stage of development. Roo’s Room welcomes our youngest children, followed by Kanga’s Room, Tigger’s Room and Owl’s Room for wraparound and holiday care.
How do you help children settle into the nursery?
Every child is different, so we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We take the time to get to know your child, understand their routines and work with you to make the transition as comfortable as possible.
Will my child have a key person?
Yes. Every child has a key person who gets to know them well and supports their care, learning and development, while also being your main point of contact.
How do you prepare children for school?
We focus on confidence, independence, communication, social skills and a positive attitude towards learning to help children feel ready for school.
Do you follow the EYFS?
Yes. Our learning follows the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and is tailored to each child’s age, interests and stage of development.
How do you keep children safe?
Safeguarding is central to everything we do. Staff receive regular training and our nursery is designed and managed with children’s safety in mind.
What is Hunny Pot’s Ofsted rating?
Hunny Pot is rated Good by Ofsted.
Can I speak to someone before deciding whether to register?
Absolutely. We’d be happy to answer your questions and help you decide whether Hunny Pot is the right fit for your family.
